Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi wabarakatuh
to our awesome and gorgeous Followers, Guests, and Readers from all around the
world.
Alhamdulillah, today we will share one of
the activities to all of you. <3 (^^_) <3
The activity is called CATCH a Finger!
Feel free to read dear friends….
Catch a finger!
Procedures:
1) Teacher asks the
students to choose their pair with same genders.
2) Teacher asks the
students to decide who is A and who is B.
3) Teacher asks student
A to put his right point finger on the student B’s right palm.
4) Ask student B to
do the same thing and their hand should cross each other.
5) The teacher will
read to them a short passage or stories (short story A). Each time they heard
the word “jump”
they have to catch their pair’s finger.
6) If one of the pair
succeeds catching his friend’s finger, they will get one point.
7) At the end of the
activity, sum up all the point. The one who catches the most will be declared
as the winner.
Short story A
Fred the frog.
Once upon a time, there is a frog name Fred
who likes to jump
around.
Where ever he goes, he will jump, and jump, and jump happily.
One fine day, Fred meets Shawn the toad.
When Shawn jumps, Fred will jump too.
Shawn says good bye and jumps away.
Fred replies good bye and jumps away too.
While Fred jumps to his home, he meets Georgie the cat.
Fred asks Georgie, to jump together.
Georgie says,“I am sorry, I can’t jump. My legs are
hurt”.
Fred smiles and said “Get well soon
Georgie, see you next time”.
Georgie replies,“Thank You Fred, happy jumping!”
This activity is suitable to be carried out in any
levels of proficiency.
The rationales of the activity are;
1)
Students have to focus on what they are
listening to.
2)
It trains the students to be aware to what
they are listening to.
3)
Everyone should actively participate.
4)
To energize the students and regain their
focus on the lesson.
